Khaled Al-Amin, Chairman of the Food Industry Committee at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has invited food companies to participate in the “Open House for Thai Halal Products 2024” event, which will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 9:30 AM at the headquarters. The event will include Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) networking sessions to promote Thai Halal products. This event is held in collaboration with the Thai Embassy and the Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University, aiming to enhance trade cooperation between Bahrain and Thailand in the sectors of food, health, and wellness.

Al-Amin emphasized that the Halal food industry is witnessing significant global growth, as the demand for Halal products increases along with the rising number of Muslims worldwide. This growth supports the economies of many countries targeting this booming market, indicating that the Halal food industry is a source of innovation and economic growth. Companies are offering new products to meet consumer needs, and this sector provides opportunities for job creation and export, supporting both local and global economies.

Al-Amin continued: “Additionally, Halal tourism contributes to enhancing the importance of this industry, as most restaurants and hotels now provide Halal food options for Muslim tourists, enhancing their travel experience and increasing growth opportunities in this sector.”
